9-year-old NY Boy Leiby Kletzky Gone Missing Coming Back from Boyan Day Camp

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Massive search campaign launched on Tuesday for 9-year-old Hasidic boy Leiby Kletzky by his family, friends and hundreds of volunteers of the surrounding areas.

Reportedly, Leiby Kletzky was supposed to meet his mother just eight blocks away from his day camp in Brooklyn; but he never reached the destination. According to police sources; he was seen leaving Boyan Day Camp at 4:50 pm local time Monday.

Many buses full of volunteers from New Jersey reached Brooklyn to hand on the search for missing Leiby Kletzky.

Jacob Daskal, a member of the Shomrim volunteer civilian patro, told that the boy was caught on surveillance camera leaving the school, after which he was supposed to walk eight blocks to meet his mother. He disappeared during that short walk.

"Usually, these things are solved in a few hours. It might be an abduction, but we're still hoping it's not," Daskal further said.
