Twin Suicide Blasts Killed 35 in Taji (Iraq)
BAGHDAD, Iraq (July 5) – At least 35 killed and 28 injured in the twin suicide blasts today in the city of Taji north of capital Baghdad. Security officials have confirmed the casualties as Iraq gone through the deadliest bombing of this year in the last month of June. 



A police officer in Taji said that one suicide bomber in a car and a second with an explosives belt had caused the carnage.



Reportedly, a car bomb was exploded near the entrance of a government building in which identity cards were being distributed to people. The building is close to the provincial council building. When people gathered at the bomb blast site, the second suicide bomber blew him up in between the crowd and done the major damage. 



Baghdad security spokesman Major General Qassim Atta said the blasts struck at 12 noon (0900 GMT).
