TTP Claimed Responsibility of Lakki Marwat Terrorist Attack on Army Camp


LAKKI MARWAT, Pakistan (Sat, Feb 02) – A terrorist attack on an army camp in the wee hours today left more than one and half dozen killed including 12 terrorists and 6 security personnel in northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkha (KPK).

According to details; a large group of militants assaulted an army camp located in Serai Naurang town (Lakki Marwat) at 3:45 AM with automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades, killing six security personnel while eight others were injured.

The wounded were shifted to CMH Bannu and Peshawar.

The responsibility of the attack was accepted by Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP); while Ahsanullah Ahsan, the spokesperson of TTP said that four suicide bombers were involved in the attack and three of them were killed while the fourth was still resisting.

But according to police sources there were at least 40 militants who attacked the army camp.
