At least two people are reported dead, according to initial
statements from officials, as a result of a plane crash on Wednesday morning at
the Casa Grande Municipal Airport.
According to details; the plane crashed shortly after 11:30 AM
just north of the runway. The airport is located on Pinal Avenue, north of
Centennial Boulevard.
"An unidentified aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances
while landing at Casa Grande around 11:35 AM,” said FAA (Federal Aviation
Administration) spokesperson Ian Gregor.
The plane was shattered by flames and no one was seen leaving the
aircraft, Gregor told further.
One witness apparently saw the plane, which looked like a
6-seater, try to land on the runway when it kicked up and flipped over.
