Utah Family Survive Plane's Crash Landing -- Video by Jonathan Fielding Now Trending

WELLSVILLE, Utah (Fri, Feb 15) – Utah family survives miraculously a crash landing which might easily be turned into the most tragic incident of their life. Seven-month-old baby boy is also among the survivors.

Utah Family Survive Plane's Crash Landing -- Video by Jonathan Fielding Now Trending

The most interesting thing about this accident was that the crash landing was filmed by the cellphone from inside the plane and the video was uploaded on Youtube and currently it is trending on Youtube.

The 28-year-old Jonathan Fielding was capturing video of his flight’s emergency landing in the snowy Utah countryside with his cellphone while he and his family were seated passengers. It’s not clear when the aborted flight occurred, but Fielding posted the video on YouTube Feb. 6.

Jonathan was taking his wife Kara out for a birthday flight with their 7-month-old son Jacob and Kara’s mother, when the pilot told them there was ice on the plane’s carburetor.

The pilot was experienced in field landings but unfortunately the snow caused the landing gear to sever from the plane, flipping the plane front to back and smashing the tail before it came to a rest upside down. No one was hurt in the accident save for bruises, whiplash and minor cuts.

In a shaken yet somewhat confident tone, Jonathan Fielding told the camera, “This is kind of exciting. I’m not worried. I think we’re going to be just fine.”

Horrible Crash Landing at Donetsk (Ukraine) Airport Left 5 dead, 12 injured

Apart from the five people confirmed dead, 12 others had been injured, the officials said.

According to details; the Antonov AN-24, a twin-engined turboprop was on a charter flight from the Black Sea coastal city of Odessa to Donetsk. The aircraft is reported to have overshot the runway at Sergey Prokofiev International Airport.
About 45 people were on board, including the crew members, most of them soccer fans looking forward to attending a UEFA Champions League football match between the Ukrainian home team Shakhtar Donetsk and Germany's Borussia Dortmund.

The aircraft is reported to have overshot the runway at Donetsk's Sergey Prokofiev International Airport.
The airport was cloaked in thick fog at the time of the tragic incident but it’s just before time to blame the weather for this mishap.
The reports suggest that the crew evacuated the plane at least partially before it caught fire.
A local police source told the AFP news agency that the aircraft came to rest about 700m (2,300ft) from the runway.
"We collided with the ground, then the plane opened up like a tin can," one passenger told Kanal 5 TV.
"Thanks to the crack that formed in the fuselage, we were able to get out of the plane before it caught fire."

Nepal Plane Crash Report (Video): Pilot's error likely cause of tragedy

Kathmandu, Nepal (Sat, Sept. 29) - Reported by madn3wz

Nepalese aviation authorities said Saturday a deadly mistake by a "panic-stricken" pilot likely caused the crash of an Everest-bound plane that killed all 19 trekkers on board, including seven Britons, in Nepal on Friday.

The Dornier aircraft, which was carrying trekkers from the capital Kathmandu to the town of Lukla before they went on an expedition to Mount Everest, went down after catching fire shortly after it took-off from Tribhuvan international airport. The plane crashed on the bank of the Manohara River at 6.18am on Friday in clear weather and witnesses said it was already on fire before it hit the ground.

According to initial investigation report; the right engine of twin-propeller Sita Air plane caught fire after being struck by a large bird causing the aircraft to plummet into the river bank and explode into a huge fireball. Ratish Chandra Suman, an official from Tribhuvan international airport, said the pilot had reported trouble two minutes after take-off and appeared to have been trying to turn back to the airport.

Suresh Acharya - an official aviation ministry -  said: "A plane crash does not occur simply just because its engine was hit by a bird."

"The pilot's failure to maintain the required radius is a likely cause of the accident," said Acharya, adding the plane turned too sharply because it had not gained enough altitude.

Footage of the tragic incident showed the front section of the plane was on fire when it hit the ground, and it appeared the pilot attempted to land the aircraft on open ground beside the river bank.

Tributes have poured in for the group of seven Britons who were among those killed. The father of the youngest of the British victims, Ben Ogden, 27-year-old Oxford University graduate killed along with seven other Britons in a plane crash in Nepal, paid tribute to his spirited son.Andrew Ogden said he wanted the trip to be his big adventure before he knuckled down to some serious words and life with his girlfriend of eight years.

Russian Plane Crash in Indonesia (Updates): Wreckage spotted, but no signs of survivors

CIDAHU, Indonesia (Thu, May 10) – There are no signs of survivors as a helicopter belonged to search and rescue teams has spotted the horrified remains of a Russian-made passenger plane Thursday with 47 ill-fated people on board, including eight crew members.

Russian Plane Crash in Indonesia (Updates): Wreckage spotted, but no signs of survivors
The Russian Sukhoi aircraft crashed yesterday into a sharp cliff on a long-dormant Indonesian volcano during a demo flight to prospective customers and journalists.

According to details; the Sukhoi Superjet-100, Russia's first new passenger jet since the fall of the Soviet Union two decades ago, lost the contact with air traffic radio control at about 4:00 a.m. EDT (0800 GMT) on Wednesday after it descended to 6,000 feet around Mount Salak, a dormant volcano 7,254 feet above sea level (just 30 miles (50 kilometers) southwest of Jakarta), officials said.

Search and rescue teams began searching the heavily wooded area immediately after the plane was reported missing. Later on the company's blue-and-white logo peeked through the dense canopy of trees, said search and rescue official Ketut Parwa.

Family members, many of whom spent a long, sleepless night at the airport, broke down in tears on hearing the news. Others stared blankly ahead in disbelief.

The aircraft was carrying Indonesian businessmen, Russian embassy officials and journalists. Dimitry Solodov from the embassy said there were eight Russians on board, including pilots and technicians.

Those on board included eight crew and 42 guests according to figures from the Russian embassy, Sunaryo, chairman of Sukhoi's Indonesian agent, PT Trimarga Rekatama, told a news conference late on Wednesday.
The aircraft made two demonstration flights on Wednesday. It returned to Halim Perdanakusuma airport, east of Jakarta, after the first flight where some people got off and others boarded.

Sukhoi, which has orders for 170 planes worldwide, plans to produce up to 1,000 Superjets, primarily for foreign markets.

It aimed to sell 42 planes to Indonesia, which is seeing a fast-expanding aviation market that aims to tap travel by a growing middle class in the world's fourth-most populous nation.

The jet was developed with Western design advice and technology from companies including Italy's Finmeccanica, as well as avionics and engine equipment from French aerospace firms Thales and Safran.

Built in a converted corner of a Sukhoi fighter factory in Siberia, the Superjet was unveiled in 2007 as part of a drive to restore pride in Russia's aviation industry, but it ran into a series of development delays.

The Superjet 100, with a capacity of 68-103 passengers, is already in service with Russia's Aeroflot and Armenian carrier Armavia and is half way through a 15,500-km (9,630-mile), six-nation Asian tour to try to drum up more international customers.

The aircraft is being marketed internationally in partnership with Finmeccanica subsidiary Alenia Aeronautica.
