Buenos Aires, Argentine: Bus Collided with Trains Killed 7, Dozens Critically Injured (Pictures)

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (Sept. 13) – According to police sources; the clash between bus and two trains Tuesday left at least 7 dead and more than 100 injured outside Argentine capital. Several injured, especially children, are in critical condition, hospital sources said.

According to details; the crash occurred in Flores, a suburb located to the southwest of the Argentine capital, as a train smashed into a bus at a street-level train crossing, causing the train to derail, where it was struck by a second train on the opposite track.

"There are seven confirmed deaths. There are people in hospital now in very grave state, including children. They have severe injuries," said Fernando Sostre, spokesman for the Argentine Federal Police.

Argentinean plane crash killed 22 on board, including 3 crew members (May 18, 2011)

According to reports by the local Argentinean TV; all of 22 passengers were killed in a plane crash on Wednesday in Argentina's southern Patagonia region. The initial reports suggest that there were 19 employees of an oil & gas company on board with three of the crew staff.

Reportedly, a Saab 340 turboprop, operated by regional airline SOL, lost its contact with ATC (Air Traffic Control) just after 42 minutes it took off from the central Argentinean city of Neuquen.

Eyewitnesses told that the plane was seen crashing about 10:35 pm (local time) near the town of Prahuaniyeu in the Rio Negro province. The place caught fire after hitting the ground.

The cause of the plane crash is yet to be established.
