Recent Karachi Violence Claimed 27 Lives Today |
KARACHI, Pakistan (July 7) – The death toll on the third day of violence between two rival groups in Karachi reaches 63 with the twenty seven more deaths reported today (Thursday/July 7).
According to details most of the firing incidents happened in agitated Orangi Town areas, including Qasba colony, Katti Pahari, Inter board office, Banaras and Baldia town. Two people were killed and several others injured when armed men opened fire on a passenger bus near Metro Cinema in Banaras area.
The media reports suggest that affected areas were echoing with widespread firing, forcing the residents inside their homes; while large number of people is evacuating the area.
The sources told that two people, including child received bullet injuries in Qasba Colony and the child surrendered to injuries in Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Complex (JPMC). Hospital sources said the child had received a deadly bullet shot in her head.
