Tropical Depression 'Hanna' Getting Stronger on the Way to Luzon, Philippines: PAGASA



Tropical Storm 'Hanna' Getting Stronger
MANILA, Philippines (July 16) – According to the latest reports from the state weather bureau today; the tropical depression "Hanna" has put on more speed as it travelling toward Luzon. 

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that as of 2 a.m., the storm's eye was estimated at 1,040 east of Virac, Catanduanes.

Although no public storm warning is issued but the storm is predicted to accompany maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour. 



Earlier, it was heaing east northeast at a speed of 20 kph, faster than yesterday afternoon when it emerged from a low pressure area into a tropical depression.

Mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain-showers and thunderstorms are predicted by PAGASA in southern Mindanao; while the other parts of the country will experience isolated downpour or thunderstorms.
