SICILY, Italy (Fri, Arr 13) – Italy’s Mount Etna, the highest and most active volcano of Europe, has erupted Friday for 3rd time over the past month, with regular 12 day pauses and 6th time in this particular year.

Located on the southern Italian island of Sicily, Etna has already erupted 4 times more than its average eruption in any year.
Italian authorities say the ash is not yet making any problems for the nearest international Fontanarossa airport near Catania, the usual victim of Etna’s activity.
No warning has been issued for the residents either.
