The death of Duggan as a result of police gunfire triggered intense protests in Tottenham, north London, on Saturday night. The protests ultimately turned into riots and the crowd gone brutally violent setting public property on fire.
Reportedly, two patrol cars, a building and a double-decker bus were set on fire (as shown in the photos above) as rioters clashed with officers in front of the Tottenham Police Station, where people had gathered to demand "justice" for the death of Mark Duggan in an apparent gunfight.
According to police sources; there were almost 300 protesters were present at the scene while eyewitnesses estimated the number of protester close to 500.
Protesters didn’t contend with the blazing busses and police cars; but they smashed the shop windows and looted the stores, pushing shopping carts full of stolen goods down the street.
