KARACHI, Pakistan (August 30) - Shawwal moon has been sighted in Karachi; therefore, Eid-ul-Fitr 2011 (1432 AH) will be celebrated tomorrow (Wednesday/August 31), private news channels reported.

Chairman of the Central Moon Sighting Committee (Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee), Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, has already announced officially in the press conference.
He said, “Moon for the month of Shawwal-ul-Mukarram has been sigted and tomorrow will be Eid.”
He further told that although most parts of the country were partly cloudy but sufficient evidences of moon sighting have been reported to the moon sighting committee from different cities of Pakistan, including Ziarat, Rawalpindi, Abbottabad and Vehari.
