KIEV, Ukraine - Female activists from a Ukrainian women’s group, Femen, has staged a topless protest on Tuesday (August 16) to show their rage at the trial of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
The action by the Femen group, whose activists frequently stage topless public protests to exaggerate their causes, stunned hundreds cops of police force that were vigilant on a nearby rally by pro-Tymoshenko supporters.
Reportedly, a couple of women from the group climbed on top of a prison van parked outside the court in Kiev, bared themselves to the waist, and criticized theUkraine’s police and politicians, saying they were the ones who belong in custody.
After a few minutes, police carried the women off the van and took them away.
