FAISALABAD, Pakistan (Sept. 09) – A private news channel reported an incident in which police tortured innocent public brutally in Chak Jhumra, a town just few kilometres away from Faisalabad.

Reportedly, police cops assembled people, claimed to be suspects having links with mafia, in bazaar and beat and kicked them unlawfully. Police abused innocent public just to hide their failure of operation against drug mafia and drug peddlers in suspected areas, eyewitnesses said.
After airing the news on TV channel, CCPO suspended all the cops involved in this inhumane act including SHO. CCPO ordered to conduct a thorough inquiry against them in accordance with departmental rules and regulations.
Such kind of incidents are increasing with the growing number of criminal activities in Faisalabad and suburban areas.
