Malaysian Flight MH17 Shot Down in Ukraine, 295 on Board Feared Dead (Photos)

A Malaysian Airline plane was reportedly shot down over war-torn part of the Ukraine on Thursday leaving the doubts about the fate of 295 on board. Flight MH17 was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

There are unconfirmed reports that all 295 aboard were killed in the tragedy , however, an official confirmation is yet to be made from Ukraine or Malaysia.

In a tweet, Malaysian Prime Minister Mohammed Najib Tun Razak has made a statement on the downed Flight MH17.

“I am shocked by reports that an MH plane crashed. We are launching an immediate investigation.”

Horrible Crash Landing at Donetsk (Ukraine) Airport Left 5 dead, 12 injured

Donetsk, Ukraine (Wed, Feb 13) – At least five ill-fated football fans were reported killed Wednesday when a plane carrying supporters of European soccer league was caught fire after attempting a crash-landing near the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk.

Apart from the five people confirmed dead, 12 others had been injured, the officials said.

According to details; the Antonov AN-24, a twin-engined turboprop was on a charter flight from the Black Sea coastal city of Odessa to Donetsk. The aircraft is reported to have overshot the runway at Sergey Prokofiev International Airport.

About 45 people were on board, including the crew members, most of them soccer fans looking forward to attending a UEFA Champions League football match between the Ukrainian home team Shakhtar Donetsk and Germany's Borussia Dortmund.

The airport was cloaked in thick fog at the time of the tragic incident but it’s just before time to blame the weather for this mishap.

The reports suggest that the crew evacuated the plane at least partially before it caught fire.

A local police source told the AFP news agency that the aircraft came to rest about 700m (2,300ft) from the runway.

"We collided with the ground, then the plane opened up like a tin can," one passenger told Kanal 5 TV.

"Thanks to the crack that formed in the fuselage, we were able to get out of the plane before it caught fire."

FEMEN are notorious for their topless protest against sex tourism, electoral fraud against politicians like Putin, Yanukovych and Berlusconi.

According to details; FEMEN has chosen Paris to open their first centre outside Ukraine. The centre will serve as training camp for new activists who would be interested in what they do and want to join.

Inna Shevchenko, co-founder of FEMEN, says:

"It is a kind of training camp for new activists and a focal point for women who are interested in what we do and want to join."

Femen is more than that clarifies the 21-year-old Inna Shevchenko. "The whole Internet is full of naked women. Who wants to see breasts, do not wait on us. Rather, the young Ukrainian women four years ago has become clear that the world was not ready to listen to women. "So they created facts where none can look away.”

Jailed Ukrainian former PM, Yulia Tymoshenko, shifted to hospital: BBC

According to BBC reports; Yulia Tymoshenko, imprisoned Ukrainian opposition leader, has been shifted to the hospital to be treated by a German doctor.

Eyewitnesses told that the former Prime Minister of the country was taken to a side doorway of the hospital in the city of Kharkiv with heavily guarded fleet. 

The 52-yesr-old Tymoshenko has been on hunger strike after charging prison guards of beating her during an earlier attempt to shift her to hospital. 

Diplomatic tensions within the European Union (EU) were caused due to concerns over her illness and non-provision of proper treatment, thereof.

Ukraine on Tuesday deferred a European summit after numerous EU leaders announced proscribe over the issue.

According to Reuters news agency; supporters shouted "Freedom for Yulia", as she was shielded by hospital staff after being shifted on a stretcher. 

Daughter of Tymoshenko told reporters that her mother suffered from a devastating back condition, and has lost 10kg (22lbs) while on hunger strike.

Yulia Tymoshenko was jailed for seven years in October for abusing her power while she was prime minister.

Oksana Makar, the victim of one of Ukraine's most shocking crimes in recent years, was buried on Saturday according to traditional funeral rites of Ukraine. A large number of mourners came to attend the funeral of brave young Ukranian.

The 18-year-old Oksana Makar died on Friday after battling for her life for almost three weeks. Makar was gang raped and burnt on March 9 by three suspects identified by local media as Yevhen Krasnoschek, 23, Maksym Prisyazhnyuk, 24, and Artem Pogosyan, 22.

She was found miraculously alive on March 10 dumped in a pit at Mykolayiv construction site after having spent about 10 hours with her severely burned body exposed to chilling weather.

KIEV, Ukraine (Fri, Mar. 30) – The 18-year-old Oksana Makar from Mykolayiv, the victim of one of Ukraine's most shocking crimes in recent years, passed away today in Donetsk Burn Center.

A protest rally is scheduled today at 16:00 (local time) in Nikolaevin to support Oksana Makar and to demand the government to arrest all the culprits. Today, the three suspects are identified by local media as Yevhen Krasnoschek, 23, Maksym Prisyazhnyuk, 24, and Artem Pogosyan, 22.

Makar was gang raped and burnt on March 9. She was found hardly alive on March 10 dumped in a pit at Mykolayiv construction site after having spent about 10 hours with her severely burned body exposed to frosty weather. She was hospitalized in critical condition with burns on more than 55 percent of her body.

Makar struggled for her life during past three weeks but lost the battle today morning when her lungs started bleeding and heart stopped on 7:30 a.m, according to Ukrainian media. She was formally declared dead 9:30 a.m.

Later during the day, Surovitska, the mother of Oksana Makar told the media:

"My daughter died with a smile on her face. When I ran to the emergency room to say goodbye to her, she smiled. I was told about her death 2,5 hours later, at 10 am. They apparently tried to save her but haven’t succeeded. I'm not angry at the physicians. Actually, I am grateful they did everything they could.”

KIEV, Ukraine (Tue, Mar. 06) – A FEMEN activist attacked a Ukranian politician from ruling party during a live TV show, Russia Today reported.

According to details, the scuffle started when the host of the TV show asked the FEMEN activist, dressed nicely this time incidentally, to comment on the FEMEN’s naked assault during the presidential election in Russia.

Instead of replying to the question of the host the girl called on her nation to restore protest actions against Ukrainian authorities, a plan which made the parliamentary deputy call her a “prostitute”. 

In reaction to verbal abuse, the experienced female activist took the MP roughly, who argued she is a “mentally-ill drunk slut” who should get of the studio as she “dishonors Ukraine”. 

As the host tried to shut up the drama, the girl managed however to spit at the politician’s face and was finally shown out the studio by security.

KIEV, Ukraine - Female activists from a Ukrainian women’s group, Femen, has staged a topless protest on Tuesday (August 16) to show their rage at the trial of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. 

The action by the Femen group, whose activists frequently stage topless public protests to exaggerate their causes, stunned hundreds cops of police force that were vigilant on a nearby rally by pro-Tymoshenko supporters. 

Reportedly, a couple of women from the group climbed on top of a prison van parked outside the court in Kiev, bared themselves to the waist, and criticized theUkraine’s police and politicians, saying they were the ones who belong in custody.

After a few minutes, police carried the women off the van and took them away.
