U.S. Drone Attack Killed Six in N Waziristan Today
North Waziristan is one of 7 districts in Pakistan's tribal region and generally believed to be a shelter for the Haqqani network and other militant groups that play a big part in terrorism and the militancy across the border in Afghanistan.

According to CNN reports; Today's drone attack was the sixth this year. There were more than 60 drone strikes last year and more than 110 in 2010.

Such drone strikes have killed hundreds of militants, but human rights groups say the strikes have also killed hundreds of civilians, including innocent children.

Pakistani officials regularly denounce the strikes as a violation of the country's sovereignty, but the government is widely believed to have provided support for the program in the past.
