KABUL, Afghanistan (Wed, Jul 18) – NATO forces in
Afghanistan had a great shock today morning when 22 fuel tankers carrying supplies
to coalition forces were blown up in northern Afghanistan.

According to details; a bomb planted by the Taliban exploded
on Wednesday morning and destroyed the NATO convoy.
At the time, the trucks were parked overnight in Samangan province, as they
headed from Uzbekistan towards NATO forces in the south.
According to BBC; the fire caused by the bomb is still burning.
The explosive device was attached below one of the trucks, which were parked
close together, an intelligence official said.
"Since it was early in the morning, there were not a lot of people
around. Otherwise, it could have caused a lot more casualties,'' the official
told the BBC.
