Iran reiterates to punish those behind the killing of nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan

Iran reiterates to punish those behind the killing of nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan
Several media reports quoted the deputy chief of Iran's joint armed forces, Masoud Jazayeri, as saying, “We consider committing a terrorist act of killing a scientist to be a threat to the nation... We are looking at punishing those who were behind the scenes of the martyrdom (assassination) of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan.”

Iran clearly named their enemies and finger is pointed towards Israel, Britain and United States.

“The enemies of the Iranian nation, such as the United States, Britain and the Zionist regime, should be made accountable for their actions,” Jazayeri added further.

The assassination of Mustafa Ahmadi Roshan on Wednesday (January 10) was the latest in a series of strikes on scientists who are linked to the Iran's nuclear program, which Israel, U.S. and other Western nations are truly trying to halt.

The 32-year-old Mustafa Ahmadi Roshan was the fourth attack to kill a leading nuclear scientist in the country in almost two years.

Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said on Thursday that the horrible killing was executed "with the planning or support of the intelligence services of the CIA and Mossad" of the United States and Israel.

Washington has strongly denied any involvement with the assassination.

Israel, widely seen as the prime suspect, has neither denied nor confirmed involvement, in line with its policy of not commenting on intelligence matters.

Tehran has formally demanded that the UN Security Council condemn the "terrorist" killing.
