This is a strange story of relationship; but not from human world. It’s a story of a turtle couple living presently in a zoo in the Austrian town of Klagenfurt. The 115-year-old turtle couple has been there for almost 36 years.

Bibi and Poldi have been together longer than most humans have been alive as they know each other nearly since their birth, one of the zookeepers told media. But now it looks like Bibi is sick of this relationship and planning to move on.

According to zoo officials; the female turtle Bibi has suddenly started to assault her partner, biting off chunks of Poldi’s shell and carrying out “several further attacks”, that might lead the two to be physically separated.

The giant turtles, weighing over 220 pounds each, could kill each other if they wanted to, zoo officials told further about the deteriorating relationship between these longtime partners. The phenomenon is very rare among turtles after being together for quite longtime; but all efforts of the zoo keepers are going in vain to better the relationships between the couple.

"But for no reason that anyone can discover they seem to have fallen out, they just can't stand each other," The zoo’s director, Helga Happ, told the Austrian Times.
