FAISALABAD, Pakistan (Oct. 8) – A teenage boy was allegedly burnt alive today (Saturday) by police after beating him brutally in Faisalabad.

According to details; the 16-year-old Azeem was held by police for alleged robbery charges and tortured brutally in Pul Dingru police station. Later on he was set on fire by the police. The boy was taken to Allied Hospital in with critical burn injuries.
Police claimed that Azeem set himself on fire while the relatives of the victim blamed police for false robbery charges, torturing and burning the boy. They held a protest and demanded action against the policemen involved in this inhumane incident.
Speaking to media on phone, Punjab’s Law Minister Rana Sanaullah vowed an action would be taken against the suspected policemen; while according to updates the CPO Faisalabad had suspended the in-charge of police station.
