LOS ANGELES - As reported earlier HERE that Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is negotiating to buy the filming rights to produce the biopic of Apple’s co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs, who passed away last week leaving a huge vacuum in the tech world.

According to updates; Sony Pictures Entertainment has concluded the deal successfully and they acquired the rights to produce a biopic based on the only authorised biography “Steve Jobs: A Biography by Walter Isaacson,” for a hefty seven-figure sum.
Walter Isaacson, former CNN chairman and Time managing editor, has biographies of renowned figures like Henry Kissinger, Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein on his credit. He was reportedly given complete access to Jobs, including a personal tour of his subject's childhood home.

The media reports suggest that Mark Gordon will produce the biopic of silicone valley legend for SPE. The movies like Speed, Saving Private Ryan, The Day After Tomorrow, Source Code are already on the credit of Gordon.
