WASHINGTON – According to unconfirmed reports the ousted Libyan leader Col. Muammar Gaddafi has died on wee hours of Thursday during an attack by NATO warplanes on a convoy in which injured Gaddafi was trying to escape after hsi last stronghold and hometown Sirte was captured by anti-Gaddafi forces.

According to Abdel Hafiz Ghoga, spokesperson of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC), Muammar Gaddafi was severely wounded in the head and legs during the last fight between pro-Gaddafi forces and NTC fighters.
A senior official of Obama administration told that the U.S. was working to confirm the death reports of Muammar Gaddafi.
