Brega, Key Oil Town in Eastern Libya, taken Over by Gaddafi Loyalists: Libyan State TV

BENGHAZI – Loyalist forces of Col. Muammar Gaddafi has retaken the control of Brega, key oil town in eastern Libya, and quickly taking down the unorganized protesters-turned-rebels in the different areas previously held by rebels; Libyan State TV reported on Sunday.

The current report is also subject to verification from independent sources; as Libyan State TV has few manipulated reports on its credit in the recent past.

But it is a fact that the rebels have been suffering from a streak of defeats over the past few days - a major obstruction for anti-Gaddafi forces who just a week ago held the whole eastern half of the country and were charging toward the capital, Tripoli.
