The 22-year-old US Soldier, Jeremy Morlock, Gets 24 Years Jail for Killing 3 Afghans

WASHINGTON D.C. - The 22-year-old, Spc. Jeremy Morlock, was sentenced to 24 years imprisonment on Wednesday after being pleaded guilty of killing of three Afghan civilians.

The military judge Lt. Col. Kwasi Hawks announced the verdict saying "the plan was to kill people" in a conspiracy with four fellow soldiers.

During the hearing when Jeremy Morlock was inquired by the judge whether the plan was to shoot at people to scare them, or to shoot to kill, Morlock confessed, "The plan was to kill people."

Spc. Jermey Morlock had a central role in a war crimes probe that has raised some of the most severe immoral charges to come from the war in Afghanistan. Military investigators charged him of playing a front role in the killings of three unarmed Afghans in Kandahar province in January, February and May 2010.
