Azra Karaduman: 14-day-old baby miraculously survived after 2 days of Turkey earthquake



ERCIS, Turkey - A 2-week-old baby has miraculously survived almost 48 hours trapped in rubble after a powerful earthquake struck in southeast Turkey.

The little girl, named locally as Azra Karaduman pulled out by rescuers from the rubble of an apartment building collapsed in Ercis as a result of strong 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck Sunday (Oct. 23).

Miraculously survived baby was quickly wrapped in a blanket and whisked away in an ambulance to the sound of overjoyed rescuers clapping.   


Hours later, the baby's mother, Semiha, was pulled from the wreckage of the building, where she had been pinned next to a sofa, and rushed to an ambulance.
Her grandmother was also rescued, AFP reported.
The father was also in the rubble, but it was unclear if he survived.
