KARACHI, Pakistan (June 10) – A low air pressure in Arabian Sea is 600-Km away from Karachi which is expected to be built up into a cyclone that might hit coastal areas today (Friday/June 10) evening.

Next 24 hours are very critical, warned by Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), as a strong weather system in the eastern Arabian Sea might turn into a tropical cyclone on Friday night which may cause heavy rains in the coastal areas.
Authorities have declared the emergency in Karachi and concerned departments are under emergency warning as pre-emptive step ahead of forecasted of heavy rains caused by tropical cyclone in Karachi. The staffs of the concerned department on leaves have been called back to offices.
Cit government has set up an emergency control and information centre in the DCO Camp office to start relief work without hindrance in any emergency situation.
