The 9-year-old Bobby Bradley from New Mexico became youngest solo hot air balloonist
TOME, New Mexico – Bobby Bradley, 9-year-old son of two of Albuquerque's famous balloonists, made the world record flying solo in a hot air balloon on the wee hours of Saturday in his hometown.

Bobby Bradley was getting stiff training for quite few days. He practiced takeoffs, landings and controlling the balloon independently.

Bobby Bradley flew the balloon for almost half an hour; which was observed and cheered by Federal Aviation Administration, family and friends.

Bobby can't get his pilot's license until he's 16, so his family and friends built the smaller balloon that is classified as an ultra-light aircraft to enable his flight.
