JF-17 Thunder Crash Updates!! Pilot, Squadron Leader Muhammad Hussain, Killed Due to Faulty Parachute: PAF Sources

ATTOCK, Pakistan (Nov. 14) – Breaking News UPDATES: According to PAF spokesperson; Squadron Leader Muhammad Hussain, pilot of the crashed JF-17 Thunder aircraft, ejected successfully but the parachute failed to open properly that lead to his tragic death. No damage were reported on the ground as the crash site is a mountainous region.

A fighter jet of Pakistan Air Force has reportedly been crashed in Attock district today morning. Fortunately, the pilot ejected safely and has been returned to air force base unharmed, private TV channel Geo News reported.


According to details; a JF-17 Thunder, made with the collaboration of Pakistani and Chinese engineers, was crashed in Mulla Mansoor’s mountainous area of Hazro in Attock district today (Monday, Nov.14). The pilot succeeded to eject safely. The aircraft was on a routine training mission, PAF sources revealed.

Immediate cause of the crash is not known but PAF has established an inquiry Board to investigate the cause of crash, which is happened to be the first for JF-17 Thunder aircraft.

JF-17 Thunder has been inducted and serving in Pakistan Air Force successfully for the last one year.
