Search engine giant Google has adorned its homepage by putting up a new doodle today to commemorate the birth anniversary of artist cum social activist Keith Haring.
54th Birthday of American artist Keith Haring celebrated by Google |
The latest doodle uses routine Google colors - blue, red, yellow and green, but it has been masterly crafted, therefore it looks lovely and makes the viewer feel energized in the first look.
The American artist Keith Haring, who died of Aids-related illnesses in 1990 at the age of 31, first came in spot light and became public figure after his chalk drawings on the New York subway in the late 1970s got immense and prompt popularity. This cartoonish quality continued in his later work, characterized by glowing colors and bold lines, which influenced the club scene and advertising.
Haring’s most prominent work is that of 'The Radiant Baby', which later also believed to be his recognition symbol. After his death, a musical of the same name was also created in his memory.
