Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (Fri, May 18) – At least 34 people
were killed when a passenger bus fell into a river bank in central Vietnam.
Twenty-one others were injured in one of the country’s deadliest road
accidents.

According to details; the passenger bus, carrying more than
50 passengers and crew members, struck through the side-railings of a bridge
and plunged into the bank of the Serepok River about 18 meters beneath.
The authorities said the bus was on its way to the southern commercial hub of Ho Chi Minh City from the central highland province of Dak Lak, when the tragic incident took place. Injured people were shifted the General Hospital in Dak Lak, where two of them pronounced dead; while 32 were declared dead at the accident scene.
The sources at the hospital told that 16 out of 21 injured
were in critical condition and were being treated at ICU.
