MUMBAI, Feb. 21 - - Mumabai High Court today confirmed death penalty for Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, convicted by a special trial court in May last year for his crime and awaiting the death sentence.
The 24-year-old Ajmal Kasab sentenced to death penalty or spend life in jail for his involvement in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks that killed 166 people and injured 238 others.
A division bench of Justices Ranjana Desai and R V More after hearing arguments on a petition against his conviction and death sentence confirmed the judgment announced by special trial court.
According to jail sources, Ajmal Kasab offered his Fajr prayer and recite the Holy Qura’an in the morning as his daily routine.
