ISLAMABAD: The prominent Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and his manager have been charged and taken into custody on Saturday (Feb. 19), they were under enquiry for travelling with undeclared foreign currency and cheques at Indira Gandhi International Airport New Delhi on Feb 14, reported here earlier.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan along with his manager was detained under Foreign Exchange Management Act (Fema) and customs act at IGI Airport for holding undeclared foreign currency and cheques amounting to about US Dollars 124,000 on Feb 14.
The legendary singer and his two other group members were set free by the DRI officials last Monday but their passports had been kept under custody awaiting further enquiry.
