ISLAMABAD - - Zafar Ahmed Qureshi, Additional Director General FIA, on Thursday told during NICL Scam case hearing at Supreme Court that he is continuously being threatened by Chaudhrys of Punjab, pointing out clearly towards former chief minister of Punjab, Pervez Elahi and company.
Zafar Ahmed Qureshi is currently supervising the investigations into National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) case.
The court place in writing the severe fears conveyed by Mr Qureshi and stated that if any annoying occurrence took place resulting in his abnormal death, then PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Punjab`s former chief minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, his son Moonis Elahi, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain and owners of the property at NICL case, Habib Warraich and Mohsin Warraich, would be responsible for it.
Mr Moonis Elahi (son of Pervez Elahi) has been accused of being one of the beneficiaries of the scam and receiving Rs 220 million as splice. The amount was transferred to his account from that of Al Tahoor Company. FIA has already issued arrest warrant of Moonis Elahi.
