Today two matches were played and both proved to be a nightmarish outing for minnows Kenya and Canada.
In the first match between New Zealand and Kenya at Chennai Kenya won the toss and elected to bat first but Kiwi bowlers made them feel very tough as the all bowled out for just 69 runs. Kenyan batting just lasted for under 24 overs.
New Zealand openers, Martin Guptill and Brendon McCullum, didn’t showed any mercy on Kenyan bowlers and smashed all over the ground to finish the match in just 8 overs; winning by massive margin of 10 wickets.
The same type of story was revised in the second match of the day between Si Lnaka and Canada. Sri Lanka piled up gigantic total of 332 with the help of big innings of Captain Sangakara and vice captain Jayawardene who got his first 100 in this world cup.
