SIALKOT – According to ARY News (Pakistan’s private news channel); a ferocious thunderstorm hit Sialkot, Pakistan’s eastern city of Punjab province, on Saturday afternoon resulted in 15 causalities and 30 more injured.
The news can not reached to the masses in Pakistan due to the 24-hour strike of cable operators in Pakistan and also the details are very limited at present point of time.
Reportedly, the main cause of the deaths in thunderstorm was the collapse of the buildings and it is feared that still few might be buried under the wreckage of the destroyed buildings. Many roofs of houses in the city were blown away by the angry wind accompanied with heavy rains.
Another severe thunderstorm also hit Islamabad on approximately on the same time, but no casualties or damage has been reported.
