FAISALABAD, August 06 - - Millat Road area is looking like a battle field right now where police and the residents have clashed over a robbery case.

Reportedly, last night robbers in police uniform entered in a house of resident, Zulfiqar, and robbed mobile phones, ornaments and cash. Residents of the area called Millat Road police station but police arrived very late when robbers escaped after firing.

Three of the residents are reportedly injured and shifted to government hospital. Injured residents are named as Ashfaq, Zulfiqar and Asif. The condition of Zulfiqar is reported as ‘Serious’.

According to police sources - they were informed very late, therefore, robbers succeeded to flee from the scene; but residents have refused and told that they didn’t only call police but they approached the police station physically when robbers were busy in their affair. Residents of the area accused police that the robbers were actually police officials and only police has given them way out.

Police sources have called officials from eight police stations on the scene and there seems no solution until now as people are firmed that the robbers were actually police officials. Police is using batons and tear gas against the crowd while people are throwing stones on police mobile vans.
