NEW DELHI, India - Breaking News: Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, famous Pakistani singer, has been detained at New Delhi Airport by Indian Authorities. He has been humiliated in the cover of investigations on account of travelling with cash amount of $100,000 ($50,000 with the singer and $50,000 with his companion). Other $24,000 has been recovered from his luggage.
Reportedly, Indian Intelligence is investigating him for continuous five hours. Khan’s relatives in Pakistan came to know through news aired on Indian TV channel. Manager of the singer has been arrested while he was traveling back to Mumbai after paying money to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, according to the reports from Indian media.
After the reports; Rehman Malik called Pakistan High Commissioner in India, Shahid Malik, and instructed him to look into the issue and help Rahat Fateh Ali Khan out of this problem. Shahid Malik told that their officials are already on the New Delhi Airport and looking into the matter.
According to statement by Rehman Malik, the issue is being followed keenly and Shahid Malik is taking personal interest to get the singer out of this mess.
