US Ambassador, Cameron Munter, Thanked People of Pakistan for the Release of Raymond Davis

LAHORE – Breaking New: Cameron Munter, US ambassador in Pakistan, has thanked the people of Pakistan for setting Raymond Davis release. He further assured that legal proceedings will be carried on in United States, in an official statement issued after the release of Raymond Davis.

Earlier, US Citizen Raymond Davis, accused of double murder in Lahore, has been released from the Jail as per the orders of the Court, said Rana Sanaullah, Law Minister Punjab. 

Reportedly, he was set free after the deal (blood money) with the family of the victims, named as Faizan and Fahim, against cash amount of Rs. 370-380 million. Along with this amount they have also offered the US visas.

US Embassy in Pakistan has verified the news of release of their citizen Raymond Davis, who has ultimately flown to Afghanistan by a US Air Force plane. US Embassy will release official statement later on.   

On the other hand, it is also reported that the families of both of the victims have also vanished from their home mysteriously. Even the neighbours don’t know about the whereabouts of the families of victims.
