Two Pilots Killed in Turkish F-4 Fighter Jet Crash: TRT Television


ANKARA, Turkey (Nov. 03) – Breaking News: Two pilots killed as a fighter jet of Turkish Air Force crashed during a normal training mission, Turkey’s state-run TV network reported.

The TRT television reported that the F-4 fighter jet downed close to the central Anatolian city of Konya, home to a big air force base in Turkey, on Thursday.
No immediate cause of the crash is known while investigation is underway to establish the cause behind crash.
According to report; the F-4 fighter jets are dubbed publicly as ‘flying coffins’ due to their relatively high rate of mishaps. Turkish air force uses these F-4 fighter jets for training purposes only.
