Shahid Afridi claimed his fourth ODI five-for of the year as Pakistan kept the nerves in low-scoring affair



DHAKA, Bangladesh (Dec. 1) – Shahid Afridi again emerges as rescuer in a low scoring nail-biting thriller against Bangladesh as Pakistan posted a 5-wicket victory in the first ODI here at Dhaka.

Afridi took the innings in his control after Pakistan was about to lose their way at 63/5 despite a reasonable start of 36 runs provided by openers and then Pakistan lost 5 wickets for an addition of just 27 runs courtesy to some poor shot selection by Pakistani batsmen and impressive bowling by Bangladesh bowlers.

Afridi top scored with his little cameo of 24 runs of 23 balls. Muhammad Hafeez also played a handy knock of 22 runs, while Imran Farhat scored 12. Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq was unbeaten at 16.

Shakin Al Hasan bowled brilliantly and picked up two important wickets in his 9.3 overs conceding just 42 runs. Rubel Hussain also bowled impressive for his two wickets while Nasir Hossain chipped in with one wicket.
