Iqbal Stadium Faisalabad to Host National T20 Championship Starting Tomorrow (Friday/June 24)
FAISALABAD, Pakistan (June 23) – The National Twenty20 Championship is scheduled to be started tomorrow (June 24) in Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. The National Twenty20 Championship is one of the most popular domestic events in Pakistan as it is televised live and also attracts huge crowds.



The latest edition will be live telecasted at Geo Super. Two matches are scheduled to be played on first day between Faisalabad Wolves vs. Multan Tigers at 5:00 pm and Karachi Dolphins vs. Rawalpindi Rams at 9:00 pm.

Although quite a few stars are playing county cricket in Friend's League T20 Championship in England; but with no international cricket being played in Pakistan, this tournament is the perfect opportunity for fans to see their favourite stars in action.


Presently star Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq is playing for Leicestershire while left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz has recently joined the Kent side and has already played a winning knock for his team to be named as man of the match. Meanwhile, off-spinner Saeed Ajmal (Worcestershire), young talent Junaid Khan (Lancashire) and seasoned fast-bowler Umar Gul (Sussex) have also joined their counties.


Total eight teams are participating in the latest edition of the tournament and Lahore Lions will defend their title. 

All matches will be broadcasted live on Geo Super. The final will be played on July 01.
