1500-year-old Church Unearthed Near Jerusalem by Israeli Archaeologists

- An historical discovery of 1,500-year-old church near Jerusalem was presented by Israeli archaeologists near Jerusalem yesterday. 

According to official sources the Byzantine church, which still has mosaic floor in good condition with images of lions, foxes, fish, peacocks and fruits; was live between 5th and 7th centuries.

A network of tunnels have been found in debris of this undiscovered church; which might had been used by Jewish rebels fighting Roman armies in the 2nd century. The church had been built on top of another structure, which scholars believe is about 500 years older when the area was inhabited by Jews.
