Kot Lakhpat Jail Officers, Naved Asghar and Hafiz Hussain, Dismissed for Providing Undue Favour to Raymond Davis in Jail

LAHORE - According to latest media reports; Assistant Superintendent Kot Lakhpat Jail, Naved Asghar had been dismissed on account of providing out of the way facilities to Raymond Davis, detained for killing two Pakistani youths in Lahore almost one month back. 

Reportedly, Naved Asghar tried to provide a USB memory stick to Raymond Davis with the help of a constable Hafiz Hussain; also dismissed for assisting in that undue favour. 

Hafiz Hussain has been posted in a high security zone’s Information Technology (IT) department of the prison and the USB stick was recovered from him when he was attempting to enter high security cells. During investigations he disclosed that Naved Asghar asked him to take the memory stick in high security cells.

Naved Asghar, however, told officials during investigations that he Just asked constable Hussain to take print out of the data of the USB stick, but he took it to high security cells instead, on his own will.

According to senior official sources both accused had been dismissed and handed the investigation responsibilities to an intelligence organization.
