Rahat Fateh Ali Khan on IGI Airport, New Delhi - Indian Journalist Mohsin Mughal Talked to Duniya News

NEW DELHi, India - Breaking News: As reported earlier Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, famous Pakistani singer, who has been detained at Indra Gandhi International Airport New Delhi by Indian Authorities, is still under questioning by Customs Officials and Directorate of Revenue Investigation (DRI) officials.

Mohsin Mughal, a journalist of Indian newspaper ‘Headline Today’, talked to Pakistan TV Channel ‘Duniya News’ on the telephone and told that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is still in the Airport premises and being investigated for the undeclared money recovered from him and his team.

Cash amount of $100,000 has been recovered with two demand drafts amounting to $10,000 and $8,600; he further told to Duniya News.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was supposed to travel from New Delhi to Lahore via Emirate Airline but custom officials stopped him and his team boarding after recovery of the cash amount. Khan is under preliminary investigations and not allowed to talk anybody else until the investigations by Indian authorities will be concluded; Mohsin Mughal further told the Pakistan News Chanel.

In the mean time, Duniya News talked to Shahid Malik, Pakistan High Commissioner in India, who told the same story and confirmed that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan still on the Airport and Pakistan Embassy in India is looking after the issue and will hopefully be resolved very soon and Mr Khan will travel to Pakistan safely.
