Twenty Deaths Reported by A(H1N1) Flu in China Again

BEIJING, Feb. 13 - The A(H1N1) flu eruption in May 2009 is regarded as the most severe as 648 deaths were reported out of more than 120,000 A(H1N1) recorded flu cases. But after 18 successive weeks without any report of severe cases since August 2010; 129 severe cases of A(H1N1) flu has been reported since the start of 2011. Furthermore, twenty deaths caused by A(H1N1) reported between January 1 and February 8. 



Recently; as per official announcement by Guangdong Health Bureau on Thursday, a death of Shenzen-based, 55-year-old, man was confirmed due to A(H1N1) influenza virus on Wednesday. The man was diagnosed with the virus on January 24 and had been treated in a local hospital in Shenzhen, according to a statement by provincial authorities.
