KANDY - - Ross Taylor smashed a blazing ton on his birthday against Pakistan in an important encounter of Group ‘A’ today at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Sri Lanka.
Ross Taylor became the fourth batsman to score a century on his birthday. Before Taylor two Indians, Vinod Kambli and Sachin Tendulkar, and one Sri Lankan, Sanath Jayasuriya, have done the same.
On the last 29 balls New Zealand smashed almost 100 runs taking the total to 302 in 50 overs. In these killing last moments Nathan McCullum and Jacob Oram also opened their arms adding misery to Pakistan bowlers’ poor bowling.
