AHMEDABAD – The real battle of world cup will begin now after the group stage matches spread over more than one month. As quarterfinal team are finalized already; fans are rushing to purchase the tickets for the big games ahead.
Co-host India is scheduled to play against defending champions Australia on March 24 at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Motera stadium, Ahmedabad. Reportedly, the all of the tickets for this quarterfinal has been sold out Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) said on Monday.
There were massive queues to purchase the tickets for over 48,000 capacity stadium as people had started lining up from last night for the high profile match after it became clear that India will play Australia, GCA said.
Hundreds of fans had to return disappointed and many of them complained that though officially tickets were sold out, tickets were available in black.
