AHMEDABAD – The city blew up in joy as India thrashed defending champions Australia at Motera on Thursday. Fire crackers and jubilant shouts greeted the victory that has ensured a clash between arch rivals India and Pakistan at Mohali. 

Skies lit up with the fire crackers across the country especially in Ahmedabad as cricket crazy fans came out on the roads to express their joy and excitement. CG Road and SG Highway converted into a late-night party zone as people gathered from all corners of the city to join the celebrations on the convincing win. Youths ran in excitement, holding aloft Tricolours at the CG Road.
