WASHINGTON — U.S. President Barack Obama and top military officials answered direct questions of the Libyan war critics, including lawmakers of Republican party, in a Friday meeting spread over more than one hour.
Reportedly, Obama took them in confidence clarifying their goals associated with Libyan war and ultimate exit strategy of United States.
After the meeting it was announced that President Obama will address the nation to explain the U.S. role in the Libyan war. The address most probably will also elaborate the path ahead and his justification about the appropriate use of force.
President Obama’s address will be aired from the National Defense University in Washington on 7:30 p.m. EDT.
