Death Toll Reached 500 With 681 Missing While State of Emergency in Second Power Plant in Japan

TOKYO – According to Bloomberg News citing as official at National Police Agency; the death toll from the earthquake that smashed Japan’s northern coast on Friday rose to as many as 500 Saturday, with another 681 stated missing.

On the other hand, Japanese nuclear officials say radiation levels inside a nuclear power plant have increased to 1,000 times more as compared to their normal levels after the cooling system failed due to tsunami caused by Japan’s biggest recorded earthquake.
After the announcement of emergency at a nuclear power plant, reported here earlier, officials also issued a state of emergency for a second power plant after a cooling system failure.

According to Dow Jones Newswire citing Tokyo Electric Power Co. on Saturday stated that the temperatures of its No.1 and No.2 reactors at the plant in question, called the Fukushima Daini nuclear power station, are increasing and it has lost control over pressure in the reactors.
