Karachi - As reported earlier yesterday night that Ejaz haroon, Managing Director Pakistan International Airlines, resigned as a result of the countrywide protests of the PIA employees spreading almost four days that halted air operation in the country. The resignation was accepted by Ministry of Defence as stated by Ahmed Mukhtar.
The resignation was the outcome of successful talks between the government and the PIA’s Joint Action Committee (JAC) at Islamabad.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik, flanked by Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar and Pakistan Airlines Pilots’ Association (PALPA) President Sohail Baloch, said that all the demands of the PIA employees had been accepted and the MD had resigned from his post.
According to recent news Ministry of Defence has issued the official notification for Capt. Nadeem Yousufzai to take charge as new Managing Director of PIA. Still no notification issued for the resigned MD, Capt. Ejaz HaroonHaroon to establish his new role.
